Kazemi Prize

History

Kazemi Prize is an international prize which was established in 2010, in the memory of the late Dr Saeed Kazemi Ashtiani, and awarded to a scientist/s who have made an outstanding contribution to biological sciences and health promotion.

Statute

The Kazemi Prize Statute was prepared in five articles by The Prize Executive Committee and is updated every two years. It shows the roadmap for the nominees’ selection and award release.

Previous Winners

The Kazemi Prize has been awarded to five prominent scientists in the field of biomedical sciences since the establishment of the prize in 2010.

News

In the Kazemi Prize Ceremony which was held in Milad Conference Hall, the 2018 Prize was awarded to Professor Michele De Luca from University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

About Us

The Kazemi Prize Scientific-Executive Committee is composed of :

The president of Royan Institute
The director of Royan institute for Stem Cell Biology and Technology
Deputy Dean for Research Affairs
The head of international affairs in research deputy
One or two distinguished scientists from Royan Institute
Three prominent scientists from other universities or research institutes

This committee has the mission of candidates’ selection, collecting the views of prominent scientists on the candidates and finalizing the winner based on the views along with the decision of Royan Scientific Board. The winner will receive the award in the ceremony organized and held by Royan Institute.
